*the anxiety of flying by myself with three kids was worse than the actual feat
*the descent into D.C. was beautiful but it felt like I was flying in on a huge bee
*the humidity is really not bad (yet)
*apartment living is the best for cleaning
*apartment living is the worst for loud kids
*living downtown is fun for excitement, things to do, places to see and people-watching
*living downtown sucks for hourly clock tower bells, sirens, loud engines
*D.C. is very clean and over-dressed
*I brought the rain with me--weak sauce

how long will you be there? Is it for work or are you officially moving there? I haven't ever been to DC yet. Can't wait to see it someday.
