We are definitely sad to leave the people in this program. We have felt blessed to have Karla, Alice, and Jackie, who showingly cared for and loved Brennan. It's nice to know that teachers like that really exist.
On a side note, did you happen to see Brennan's t-shirt? yes he is a star wars freak show (thanks Jaden)--boba fett is his favorite by far. it is not uncommon to see light sabers around the house or feel darth vader breathing down your neck. Elly has R2D2's scream down pat. Hey, whatever works! Just this morning Brennan said:
B: mom, can you pweeeease hep me find boba fett? pwease, pwease, pweeeease?
Me: sorry, not right now, buddy, i'm makin breakfast.
B: [sigh] fine, i just go wook...
holy jedi council, that was great! when i actually step back and take it all in, brennan has made amazing progress not only this last year, but in the last 2 years when he started out only saying 2 words. way to go buddy!
